The Time Use Initiative was invited to participate in the Brussels Urban Summit (BUS) 2023, one of the biggest events that bring together international city officers and political representatives to exchange ideas and set priorities for sustainable, affordable, and liveable cities. Registrations are open for the second edition of the Ibero-American summit on time policies

Happening from the 6th to 30th June, it will host virtual and on-site events aimed at conceptualising the right to time as a new civic right in Latin America. New publication showing world-wide good practices between time, mobility, and sustainability

A second topic of time policies compilation has been published and presented. It focusses on tackling a topic of global relevance: “Time, mobility and sustainability: an opportunity to increase resilience”. The Network envisages cities and regions of the 21st century as places designed not to waste people’s time, but to save it. During the event, which counted with 250 participants, representatives from municipalities, metropolises, and regions from all over the world exchanged inspiration cases that help organising time in a more sustainable way.

The European Commission awarded a project to foster time policies in European Municipalities

The partnership including the Local and Regional Governments TIME Network has been awarded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights, and Values (CERV) programme from the European Commission. The project, called “Time4All”, aims to foster time policies and ensure the recognition of the right to time as a right for all citizens. 

It includes 20 organisations representing municipalities, metropolises, and regions from Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Germany, Belgium, and Greece.
