Last June the Barcelona Time Use Initiative for a Healthy Society was presented at CIDOB within the Time Use Week. Barcelona Time Use Initiative for a Healthy Society is launched with the participation of key stakeholders.

The ‘Barcelona Time Use Initiative for a Healthy Society’ is an International initiative that comes from a Catalan initiative called Iniciativa per a la Reforma Horària and continues its legacy. Its aim is to become an international reference spokesperson for the improvement of time-related policies in three years.

The presentation event had the participation of Sara Berbel, current manager of Barcelona City Council, and Alexis Serra, director of Time Use Reform Office of the Catalan Government, as well as representatives of international organizations that work for better time use, such as the World Federation of Societies for Chronobiology (WFSC) or IATUR, among others.

The ‘Barcelona Time Use Initiative for a Healthy Society’ goals are to internationalize the knowledge and arguments about time use and its impact in our well-being, work as an European platform to promote better time use and gather together different organizations working on the topic from different points of view. [Presentation video]
