Barcelona Time Use Initiative for a Healthy Society internationalizes the current Catalan “Setmana dels Horaris” with the aim of celebrating the first International Time Use Week on 2020 (June 1-7)

The 2021 International Time Use Week

In June 2020 the first edition of the International Time Use Week will take place in Catalonia (June 1-7) . The week will maintain the usual activities of the Catalan one and wants to create new forums for exchange and discussions with key international stakeholders. The proposal is to create sectoral round tables between Catalan agents and international agents that have had experiences or are interested on time use policies.

This International Time Use Week will be the beginning to organize the 2021 International Time Use Week, a week dedicated to communication actions, conferences and working groups to raise awareness on the economic, environmental and social advantages of better time use, as well as to share ideas to move forward towards a time use reform. The week wants to ensure that all key stakeholders, as well as those regions already committed with changing towards healthier time habits are engaged on the discussion.

It is foreseen that during 2021, besides the IATUR Conference, different networks can organize work sessions (such as the European Cities Network for Time Use) and do different seminars or thematic encounters around topics such as end of the Daylight Saving Time or chronobiology, among others.
