Monday morning, 13th of October:

Location: Industrial School Campus – Main Hall. The sessions will be broadcast live via YouTube.

Languages: Catalan, Spanish, and English.

Audience: professionals from public administrations, third sector organizations, and citizens in general.

Inauguration of Time Use Week 2025 with the presence of the five co-organizing institutions.

Conversation between experts where they will address how the use of time is changing and evolving with new technologies, as well as the impacts that this can have on the social, political and urban spheres.

11.00h — 11.30h: Coffee break

This table will analyze future trends in the use of time with experts in care, the labour world and social and political participation, in dialogue with an expert in artificial intelligence and its potential impacts.

Three cities and three inspiring experiences will show in five minutes how artificial intelligence can change our use of time.

Two people, two lives modified thanks to the impact of time policies.

13.30h — 15.00h: Lunch break

Monday afternoon, 13th of October:

Schedule: 15:00h to 18:00h.

Location: Industrial School Campus – Rooms S6 and S7

Language: Catalan or English, depending on the event.

Audience: The sessions are aimed for professionals from public administrations and third sector organizations, spots are limited.

Workshop 1. How do we introduce the time factor into the digital twin?

Language: English.

This workshop will explore how the digital twin tool can be used to test and design time policies, based on the experiences of cities and regions that already have them developed.

Language: Catalan. 

This workshop will present the resources available to local authorities in Catalonia who want to promote time policies and researchers who want to monitor them, including methodological tools, funding or technical support.

In this interactive session we will have the presence of an expert in time-use surveys at the international level, who will give us a global vision of key aspects and trends, enriched with the participation of different countries that use time-use data to inform their public policies.

Language: Catalan.

HOW TO GET TO INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL CAMPUS?

Tuesday, 14th of October:

Field visits and the General Assembly of the World Network of Local and Regional Governments for Time Use.

Schedule: 9:00h to 17:30h.

Language: English.

Audience: the scheduled activities are closed to members of the Local and Regional Governments Time Network and people participating in the International Visit Plan organized in collaboration with Catalonia International.

During the day, participants will visit various programs and services of Catalan public institutions aimed at citizens and companies, in which time policies have been implemented.

In the afternoon, the general assembly of the Local and Regional Governments Time Network will be held.

Wednesday, 15th of October:

Schedule: 9:30h to 17:30h.

Ubicació: BizBarcelona (Plaza España Exhibition Centre).

Languages: Catalan.

Audience: companies, technicians and municipal economic promotion agencies.

Time Use Week moves to the BIZ fair to bring the right to time closer to the workplace. During the day, we will talk about paid working time and address the potential of artificial intelligence for companies, organizations, and administrations to manage time more efficiently, equally, and healthily, optimizing time and resources

9:30h - 17:30h: Right to time: workplace itinerary

There will be two plenary conferences open to all participants, and two training programmes with specialised workshops aimed at two different audiences:

  • Companies and organizations interested in improving working time.
  • Elected officials and professionals from administrations responsible for economic promotion areas, interested in fostering better time use for companies in their municipality.
