With the aim of making Time Use Week accessible to all citizens, during the month of October, organizations, companies, and public institutions from all across the world will organize side events to the TUW2025 program to expand knowledge, reflection, and debate on the right to time worldwide. 

Talks, film forums, workshops, etc., will be organized for children and adults.

The conditions of a hyper-accelerated society and culture will be discussed, focusing on the “projectification” of life, especially in science and research. The discussion will also address acceleration, speed and rhythm, and how these aspects relate to boredom (and its liminality) and sleep (and its lack).

Social Design will facilitate an open debate on issues of time during the Urbanize Festival in Vienna. The festival is dedicated to the rhythms of the city, between history, everyday life and what is to come, between rhythms and cycles, between lines and pauses. From the time factor in planning processes, time horizons and economic cycles to timekeeping in everyday life, urbanize! 2025 invites you to conferences and debates, workshops and explorations of the city, films and artistic interventions with free admission.

03/11 | Webinar ‘A Day in the Light of Day: Perspectives from a Global Collaborative Study on Light Exposure’

‘A Day in Daylight’ is a global project that tracks how people experience light. On 22 September 2025, participants from around the world wore light sensors and recorded their daily activities, creating the first global snapshot of personal exposure to daylight. The results will be shared and discussed.
